Lentil and carrot pate
Take advantage of the most wilted carrots and make a different starter for your lunches and dinners. Learn how to make lentil and carrot pâté and surprise everyone who tastes it.
Ingredients

250g carrots

1 clove garlic
-
2 tablespoonful of extra virgin olive oil

150 g red lentils
-
250 ml of water
-
1 teaspoon cumin
-
30 g of cashew nuts
-
3 tablespoonful of lemon (juice)
Preparation Method
- Wash the carrots very well, cut them into thin slices and put them in a pan. Add the crushed garlic clove and a tablespoon of olive oil. Season with half the salt and add the lentils and water, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Pour everything into the blender, add the remaining olive oil, the cumin, the cashew nuts and the lemon juice. Season with freshly ground pepper and blend well until you obtain a smooth paste (if you think it necessary, add a little more boiling water).
- Serve as a starter and accompany with raw vegetable sticks or toast.
