Ingredients

1 x 1.6 kg chicken without giblets

4 litres chicken stock

1 onion

1 pear
-
2 carrots
-
2 stalks celery, with leaves

1 bunch of herbs of odour

2 Cloves Grain
Preparation Method
- Rub the chicken with the turmeric. Wrap it in cling film and leave it for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Pour the stock into a large saucepan. Add the peeled onion with the cloves stuck in, the bunch of herbs, the celery stalks, the peeled and chopped carrots and pear, and the ground pepper.
- Bring to a boil and add the chicken (without the transparent film). Cook over medium heat for 50 minutes. Serve with rice.
