Olive rice

A different kind of rice to accompany your favourite dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • Sliced olives
  • 1 handful coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tbsp thyme
  • olive oil to taste

Preparation Method

  1. Start by chopping the onion and garlic separately. Then slice the olives. Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a pan and let it heat up a little.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes or until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped garlic, stir and cook for a further 1 minute. Sprinkle with paprika to taste and mix well.
  4. Then gradually add the rice and mix in.
  5. Add the sliced olives and mix well again.
  6. Add half the thyme and mix.
  7. Add 4 glasses of water and season with salt to taste. Leave to simmer for about 15 minutes.
  8. Finally, before removing the pan from the heat, add the rest of the thyme and mix in. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal.
