Aromatic Saffron Rice
Aromatic Saffron Rice has a mild taste and is excellent to accompany spicy curry dishes.
Ingredients

225 grams basmati rice

1/2 teaspoon salt mill
-
1 handful Cardamom Grain
-
1 teaspoon Fennel
-
6 clove Grain
-
1/2 Cinnamon Stick
-
1 bay leaf
-
25 grams unsalted butter
Preparation Method
- Rinse the rice. Place it in a large pan of boiling water with the salt, turmeric, cardamom, fennel, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaves.
- Cook uncovered for 12 to 14 minutes or until the rice is soft. Drain and rinse under boiling water in a colander. Slowly heat the butter until melted. Remove the whole spices, if desired, before serving.
- This lightly spiced Indian rice is excellent to accompany all spicy curry dishes.
