Fried chicken with Harissa

Juicy chicken, perfect for mid-afternoon snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 Kg roasted chicken thighs
  • 250 g yoghurt (10% fat)
  • 6 tablespoon Harissa
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • Oil for frying

Preparation Method

  1. Wash the chicken, dry, and cut it into pieces.
  2. Mix the yogurt with the harissa and salt. If you don’t like it as spicy, you can adjust the amount of harissa paste to your liking.
  3. Place the chicken pieces in the yogurt-harissa marinade and marinate for about 1 hour, but preferably overnight.
  4. Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade and mix with panko until it adheres all over.
  5. Fry the breaded chicken pieces in hot oil at about 175 °C for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
