Lemon and Limoncello Tiramisu
Tiramisu with cantucci is a tastier version of the classic tiramisu. The mascarpone cream meets the unmistakable taste of the cantucci, with lemon curd.
Ingredients
For the syrup:

¾ cup of icing sugar

3 lemons, juice only

1/3 cup limoncello
For the filling:

1 mascarpone cheese
-
400ml cream
-
1/3 cup of icing sugar
-
¼ cup limoncello
For the toothpicks:
-
zest of 1 lemon
Preparation Method
- Make the syrup, in a pan, add all the ingredients, stir and bring to a boil, and remove from the heat. Set aside.
- Whip the cream, when it is frothy, add the sugar and continue whipping. When it is whipped, add the mascarpone cheese, always whipping, add the limoncello, and whip once more. Place in the refrigerator.
- Now it’s time to start assembling the tiramisu: Take the Cantuccini Toscanos and dip them in the syrup that must be warm, let them absorb a little liquid until they are soft but not mushy. Place them on the bottom of a serving tray. Place some of the lemon curds on the toothpicks and smooth them out. Place some of the creams on top, and smooth it out as well.
- Repeat the layers, at the end place the cream and sprinkle with lemon zest.
- Place in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
