A rustic pasta recipe with a simple eat-and-wait-for-more sauce, based on tomato, garlic, and basil.
Ingredients
-
3 tablespoons of olive oil
-
300 g tomato sauce with basil
-
1 pinch of Black Pepper
Preparation Method
- Bring a large pot of water to the boil, bring to boil, and season with salt. Add the pasta and cook for 1 minute less than the time indicated on the package so that it is al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat a skillet over medium/high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the tomato sauce with basil. Let it cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally, to reduce the heat to low.
- Add the minced garlic and mix well. Drain the pasta, reserving some of the cooking water.
- Add the pasta to the sauce and mix well. Use some of the reserved pasta cooking water to loosen the sauce as it is absorbed into the pasta. The right consistency is obtained when the sauce slightly adheres to the dough.
- Serve the pasta in warmed bowls and sprinkle with the grated Parmesan cheese.
