Stew Meat

Stewed meat cooks slowly over a layer of vegetables, becoming very juicy and tender. Serve the stewed meat with plain rice and salad.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 kg of meat for stewing
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 pcs. of carrot
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 240 ml of beef broth

Preparation Method

  1. Place 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over high heat.
  2. Add the meat to the stew and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the meat stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pot and without washing, put 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  6. Chop the onion and garlic and add, let it brown slightly.
  7. Cut the carrots into julienne strips and the tomato into cubes. Add to the mixture, carefully wrapping.
  8. Add reserved meat, bay leaf, and beef broth.
  9. Cover and let cook slowly for 30 to 40 minutes.
