  1. Rub the chicken with the turmeric. Wrap it in cling film and leave it for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Pour the stock into a large saucepan. Add the peeled onion with the cloves stuck in, the bunch of herbs, the celery stalks, the peeled and chopped carrots and pear, and the ground pepper.
  3. Bring to a boil and add the chicken (without the transparent film). Cook over medium heat for 50 minutes. Serve with rice.
