Vegetable Chow Mein
Quick and easy vegetable chow mein! Egg noodles, chow mein sauce and vegetables.
Ingredients

3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

1 thinly sliced shallot
-
1 carrot cut into thin strips
-
1 red pepper cut into thin strips
-
1/2 shredded white cabbage
-
1/2 head of broccoli, cut into small florets
-
300g thin noodles
-
4 chopped chives
-
Chow Mein sauce
-
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
Preparation Method
- Heat a little oil in a wok or frying pan over a high heat. Add the garlic and onion and fry for about 20 seconds, stirring so they don’t burn.
- Add the broccoli and carrots and fry for another minute or two.
- Add the peppers, bean sprouts and cabbage and fry for a few minutes. Mix well so that they are cooked evenly.
- Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the packet – you need to soak them in water or put them straight into the pan.
- Add the chow mein sauce and the noodles to the wok, stir well and serve!
- Top with chopped chives and sesame seeds.
